Tiger nuts are edible tubers found at the end of the root system of Cyperus grass.
They are indigenous to Egypt and can be enjoyed as a snack or ground to make a gluten free flour. Alternatively it can also be used as an addition to stews and soups.
Tiger nuts are gluten free, rich in fibre, iron, potassium, protein, magnesium, zinc and vitamins E and C.
